* The Accueil Plus Service consists of:

  • the AEEA partners: Conférence des recteurs et des principaux des universités du Québec, (CREPUQ), Conférence régionale des élus (CRÉ) de Montréal, Regroupement des collèges du Montréal métropolitain (RCMM) and Cégep international
  • the different government services responsible for welcoming international students to Québec: Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), and ministère de l’Immigration et des Communautés culturelles (MICC) du Québec.

Take note:

Students due to arrive at the Montréal-Trudeau Airport before August 3 and after September 3, 2012 will not be able to take advantage of this service and will have to go through the regular customs and immigration procedures.

What is the purpose of the

Accueil Plus Service?

The Accueil Plus Service is intended for new international students who come to study in a Québec university or college. This service provides personal assistance to facilitate the student’s integration during his or her arrival at Montréal-Trudeau Airport between August 3 and September 3, 2012.

International students forward us their travel information and the collected data is then passed on to the Accueil Plus service associate partners*. The aim is to provide quality reception services to new international students who pass through the Montréal-Trudeau Airport. The data provided by the international students will be used to facilitate the process with customs and immigration services and shorten the waiting time at the border for international students who are provided with a study permit at their arrival at the Montréal-Trudeau Airport, if this is their Port of Entry into Canada.

Students whose first Port of Entry into Canada is another Canadian airport (e.g. Toronto, Vancouver, etc.) are still encouraged to register for the Accueil Plus service. However, customs and immigration services must be processed at the Port of Entry into Canada, therefore the students Study Permit will not be issued at the Montréal-Trudeau Airport.
