Where and when will the Accueil Plus service be available?
I will be arriving in Montréal before August 1st, 2021 or after September 10th, 2021. Can I still register for the Accueil Plus service and will I be able to benefit from the services it provides?
Unfortunately, you will not be able to register for the Accueil Plus service or take advantage of the reception services it provides at the airport if you arrive before or after this period. This does not in any way affect the immigration process, which will follow the regular customs procedures. However, we strongly recommend that you consult the Useful links page on the Accueil Plus website to learn about the services provided by the various schools.
I will be arriving at the Québec City Jean-Lesage International Airport. Will the Accueil Plus services be available there?
Unfortunately, Accueil Plus only takes place at the Montréal-Trudeau Airport. However, this does not in any way affect the immigration process, which will follow the regular customs procedures. We strongly recommend that you consult the Useful links page on the Accueil Plus website to learn about the services provided by the various schools.
Who can benefit from the service?
I enrolled in a six months (or less) program and I don’t have a Québec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ) or a Canadian study permit number. Can I still register for the Accueil Plus service?
- Students registered in a six months (or less) program are not required to have a CAQ or the F or IUC study number to benefit form the Accueil Plus service.
- In this case, streamlined procedures from the ASFC program don’t apply.
However, you can still register for the Accueil Plus service and take advantage of the reception services available at the Montréal-Trudeau Airport by checking off the third option on the first page of the application form. Students from various Québec colleges and universities can’t wait to meet you and guide you upon your arrival!
I’m an American student and I don’t have a Canadian study permit number, Can I still register for the service?
If your port of entry in Canada is the Montréal-Trudeau airport, you can still register for the Accueil Plus services by checking off the third option on the first page of the application form. However, your immigration process will be carried out according to standard procedures and can’t be accelerated.

I have yet to receive my CAQ. Can I register for the Accueil Plus service?

Unfortunately not, since all students are required to have received their F or IUC study permit number in order to register to the Accueil Plus services. We strongly recommend registering as soon as receiving these documents.
The application form does not accept the CAQ number I submit. Is there a solution?
You must provide your CAQ file number, which is the second number appearing on the upper right of your Québec Acceptance Certificate. Please make sure that the number you submit is the proper number indicated as “No Dossier” in French.
The application form does not accept the study permit number (F or IUC) I submit. Is there a solution?
You will find the study permit number in the acceptance letter issued by the Canadian Embassy’s Visa office. Please make sure that you submit the proper number indicated as “Permis d’études” in French.
I registered for the Accueil Plus service, but I just modified my flight plan (date, time, airline carrier). Does that create a problem?
If you have modified your flight plan, you must register again for the Accueil Plus service. The system will only save the most recent registration information; you will receive a new email validating your registration.
I have difficulty registering for the Accueil Plus service.
Please verify your information and try registering AGAIN for the Accueil Plus service. If you do not register again for the Accueil Plus service, you won’t be able to take advantage of the reception services it provides. However, this does not in any way affect the immigration process, which will follow the regular customs procedures. We suggest all students to stop by the Accueil Plus information booth during the opening hours from 10AM to midnight.
Welcoming activity at our information booth !
Where is the information booth located? What will be the opening hours of the booth?
The reception booth will be located in the international arrivals hall and open every day from 10 a.m. to midnight. There will be signs at the airport indicating its exact location.
Am I required to present myself to the reception booth at the Montréal-Trudeau Airport?
You are not required to present yourself to the information booth, although we would be pleased to meet you! We aim to help new international students arriving at the airport; to greet, inform and advise those who, on the eve of starting this new school year, pass in transit through the Montréal-Trudeau Airport during the opening dates of our reception services at the airport before heading to their respective university or college. Students from different Québec universities and colleges will be acting as reception officers and will be waiting there to inform you and guide you as soon as you arrive.
Does Accueil Plus offers personalized transport services for international students?
Unfortunately not. Each student must assume responsibility for their own transportation from the airport to their respective accommodation or school. Don’t worry, we can still help you! The 747 Express bus is a great option; it goes directly from the Montréal-Trudeau Airport to downtown Montréal. In any case, there are always numerous taxis waiting outside!
What are the services provided at the information booth at the Montréal-Trudeau Airport?
Please consult the Reception booth page on the Accueil Plus website to learn about these services. See you soon!
